Attested Copy of Release of a Legacy charged on Real Estate dated 11th July 1760

WHEREAS Sarah Welsh late of Tewkesbury widow deceased did in her Will dated 21st October 1758 – wherein she is called Sarah Welsh but signed by her as Welch – gave her gave her daughters Sarah Hurst now of Tewkesbury widow and Martha Welsh now of Tewkesbury spinster - £100 a piece to be paid by her son Samuel as her executor.

Now these presents witnesseth that in regard the said Samuel Welsh hath demised to said Sarah Hurst and Martha Welsh – A certain messuage called the “Sun Garden” and backside with the appurtenances in High Street – now in the occupation of John Saunders victualler – being one of the messuages devised to him by said Sarah Welsh – for the term of 2000 years by way of a mortgage – for securing the payment of £100 with interest to each of us in satisfaction of the said legacies
