First – bequeath to dear and loving wife Sarah – All and Singular my Messuages, Houses, Buildings and Land with their every appurtenance in Tewkesbury and elsewhere forever

I also give my wife all my goods, cattells and Chattells and appoint her sole executrix

Signed: 3rd July 1749

Witnesses: Henry Whittaker; Charles Waring; John Symonds

Proved at Gloucester by Sarah Welsh executrix - 29th January 1749

Note: Proved date seems incorrect but in 1749 the year started on Lady Day [25th March] so January was at the end of the year.- The date above would be 29th January 1750 in modern terms. The calendar was changed to start the year on January 1st in 1752
