In the name of God Amen – I Sarah Welsh of Tewkesbury in the County of Gloucester widow being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding for which I bless God – do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following:-

Imprimis: I give and devise unto my son Henry Welsh – All my right Title and Interest in and to a Messuage or Tenement situate and being in a certain Alley adjoining to a house known by the sign of “The Ship and Castle” in the High Street in Tewkesbury aforesaid – now in the occupation of Henry Waring – to hold unto my said son Henry Welsh his heirs and assigns

Item: I give and bequeath unto my said son Henry Welsh his executors and administrators the sum of One Hundred Pounds [£100] – And also all my Silver Spoons 

Item: I do hereby give and devise unto my daughter Sarah Hurst widow of George Hurst late of Tewkesbury aforesaid butcher deceased – All my right title and interest in and to another Messuage or Tenement situate and being in such Alley as aforesaid – now in the  occupation of Thomas Blizard – to hold unto my said daughter Sarah Hurst her heirs and assigns

Item: I give and bequeath unto my said daughter Sarah Hurst her executors and administrators the sum of £100 and also my Silver Pint Cup and the Chest of Drawers, Two Beds & Bedsteads with their furniture, the chairs, Glasses, Tea Chest, China, Five Grates?, Pewter Furnace, Dresser, Vessells and other goods and household furniture which were in the possession of the said George Hurst in his lifetime and which are now in my possession and have been since the death of the said George Hurst, Inventoryed and appraised by Edward Edgcombe of Tewkesbury aforesaid in the sum of £15 -16s-2d – which said goods and furniture I direct my executor herein after named to deliver to my said daughter Sarah Hurst within One Month next after my decease

Item: I give & devise to my daughter Martha Welsh – All my right title & interest in and to another Messuage or Tenement situate in such Alley as aforesaid now in the occupation of Joseph Nicholls – to hold unto my said daughter Martha Welsh her heirs and assigns

Item: I give and bequeath unto my said daughter Martha her executors and administrators the sum of £100 and also my Silver Tankards

Item: I give, devise and bequeath unto my son Samuel Welsh – All the rest and residue and remainder of my Messuages, Lands, Tenements, Hereditaments, Goods, Chattels,

Real and Personal Estate whatsoever not herein before given and bequeathed – to hold unto my said son Samuel Welsh his heirs executors administrators and assigns – subject to and chargeable with the payment of all my just debts, funeral expenses and my said legacies.

And it is my Will and Desire and I do hereby direct that the said Three several Legacies of One Hundred Pounds each shall be paid to my said son Henry Welsh; and my said daughters Sarah Hurst and Martha Welsh by my said son Samuel Welsh his heirs, executors, administrators or assigns within one year next after my decease. And I do nominate constitute and appoint my said son Samuel Welsh executor of this my Last Will and Testament and I do hereby revoke all and every former Will and Wills by me at any time heretofore made and do declare this only to be my Last Will and Testament

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal 21st October 1758

Proved at Gloucester 26th January 1760 by Samuel Welsh the son and sole executor
