- Nathaniel Hartland of the Oaklands Charlton Kings; Lindsey Winterbotham of Strous; Samuel Jones esq of Gloucester – Trustees of Glos. Banking Co.
- William Grizzell of Kemerton
Reciting that by Indenture dated 12th September 1848 between:-
- Joseph Smith maltster and Maria his wife
- Rev Samuel Ellis Garrard clerk
For £1000 paid by Rev Garrard to Joseph Smith he granted property by way of mortgage at 5%
And reciting that by Indenture dated 18th October 1857 between:-
- Samuel Ellis Garrard
- Joseph Smith
- Benjamin Perks Procter
the mortgage was assigned from Samuel Garrard to Benjamin Perks Procter at 4½%
And reciting that by Indenture dated 5th June 1858 between:-- Joseph Smith and Maria his wife
- Nathaniel Hartland of the Oaklands Charlton Kings; Lindsey Winterbotham of Strous; Samuel Jones esq of Gloucester – Trustees of Glos. Banking Co
Joseph Smith passes over Messuage due to overdrawing on his account and it was auctioned on 11th August at Swan Inn Tewkesbury and Mr William Grizzell purchased for £695* which was paid in part payment to Benjamin Perks Procter -
ALL THOSE TWO MESSUAGES adjoining together formerly in the tenure of Robert Smith and Mary Probert – then of Henry Baker and William Jones – then of William Gibbs and James Turner – having “The Anchor” on South side and messuage of Joseph Peace, baker – then of Thomas Alexander Johns in occupation of Joseph Andrews on North side
20th November 1869
By Will of this date William Grizzell left estate to widow Sarah with Philemon Land and James Roberts as Trustees
