Know all men by these presents that I, Henry Welling of Tewkesbury in the County of Gloucester maltster am held and firmly bound unto William Read of Hardwick in the parish of Bredon in the County of Worcester gentleman in the sum of two thousand pounds (£2000) of good and lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland current in England - to be paid to the said William Read or his certain Attorney, Executors, Administrators or Assigns for which payment well and truly to be made I bind myself my heirs, Executors and Administrators and every of them firmly by these presents

Sealed with my seal dated this 24th August 1811

Condition of the above written obligation is such that of the above bounden Henry Welling, his heirs, executors or Administrators do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the above named William Read his executors, Administrators or Assigns the full sum of One Thousand pounds (£1000) with lawful interest for the same of good and lawful money of the said United Kingdom current as aforesaid on the 24th February next ensuing the date hereof without any other – according to the proviso or condition contained in an Indenture of Mortgage bearing even date with these presents and made between the said parties hereto.

And if the above bounden Henry welling his heirs, executors or administrators do and shall also in all things well and truly observe, perform, fulfill and keep – all and singular the covenants, articles, clauses and agreements in the said Indenture of Mortgage contained which on his or their part are or ought to be observed, performed, fulfilled and kept then this obligation to be void otherwise to remain in full force and virtue of

24th August 1813 – Received of Mr Welling in part payment of the money secured by this bond – the sum of One Thousand Pounds £1000 and Fifty pounds (£50)

I have given him a receipt indorsed on the Mortgage Deed above mentioned
