Bird family from Tewkesbury moved to Birmingham in 1870's. John Bird b1780? Wheelwright lived Back of Avon, Barton Road, and Oldbury. He married Maria Salisbury 13 Dec 1808, Banns read twice on 29 March 1807 and 13 November 1808, why did this happen?Cannot find a date for his wife Maria's death. I believe John Bird then married again, a Sarah? But not too sure. I have a John Bird as a Framework Knitter on the 1841 census, living atBird's Court, Back of Avon, living with Sarah. I do know that Bird's Court was named after him, but I do not know if this is the correct person. I have hit a brick wall, please can anyone help? |
