Document :-

Indenture dated 21st December 1753 between:

  1. Joseph Peace of Tewkesbury baker
  2. Joseph Smith of Tewkesbury stockingframe knitter
  3. William Smith of Tewkesbury innholder

Whereas by Indenture of Lease and Mortgage dated 28th January 1741 between William Walker and William Spilman

And Whereas by Indenture of Assignment dated 9th November 1743 it was transferred from William Spilman to John Goddard

And Whereas by Indenture dated 7th November 1744 the said John Goddard set over to said William Walker having been paid by William Godsall

And Whereas by by Indenture of Assignment of Mortgage dated 12th September 1748 between Elizabeth Godsall of Tewkesbury widow [executor of said William Godsall] subject to payment of £67-10s-0d by Joseph Peace she set over premises to William Walker.

Now this Indenture witnesseth that said Joseph Peace for £70 has set over to William Smith – with proviso
