This Indenture dated 9th November 1743 made between:
- William Spilman of Upper Mitton in the parish of Bredon Worcs yeoman
- William Walker of Tewkesbury cordwainer
- John Goddard of Bredon aforesaid baker
Whereas by Indenture of Lease or Mortgage dated 28th January 1741 made between
- William Walker
- William Spilman
Said William Walker for consideration mentioned did demise unto William Spilman his executors and assigns
All that Messuage or Tenement or Half Burgage now in the occupation of said William Walker with the Garden and Backside thereto adjoining situate in Tewkesbury in the High Street otherwise Oldbury Street having
A Messuage or Tenement late in the occupation of Nicholas Allen glover but now of John Kingsbury on the North Side
A Messuage or Tenement now or late in possession of James Kingsbury on South Side
Extending itself in length from the said street on the forepart unto the land formerly of Sir Francis Russell baronet now belonging to the poor alms people on the hinder part
Together with all the houses etc etc to the said first mentioned Messuage or Tenement or Half Burgage and premises belonging or appertaining
To hold to said William Spilman his executors and assigns
And Whereas there is now due and owing the principal sum of £12 – all interest paid and discharged
Now this Indenture Witnesseth that for the sum of £12 to him paid by the said John Goddard
And the said William Walker in consideration of a further sum of £28 to him also paid by the said John Goddard (receipts acknowledged) – the whole amounting to £40 – They the said William Walker and William Spilman hath granted, sold and assigned and set over to John Goddard – All and Every the said Messuage or Tenement or Half Burgage above mentioned
