Please Consider Joining The Society

Membership of the Society gives you discounted entry to our meetings (£2.50 rather than £4) and discounted prices for our publications. Membership is renewable from 1st September each year. Annual Membership is £5 per person. Our 'season' runs from September each year with meetings held until the following May. If you join after 31 December, your membership will run until the September of the following year. [Click on PDF to read our Constitution.] 

The easiest way to subscribe or renew your existing membership is via PayPal by using thisAdd to Cart link. (tewkhs@freeuk.com is our PayPal recipient-id.) Alternatively send a cheque payable to THS, to Membership Secretary, Bantry, The Rampings, Longdon, Tewkesbury, GL20 6AJ along with name and address, email address and any particular Tewkesbury historical interests. You can also email membership@tewkesburyhistory.org to get details of how to join by crediting our bank account. 

The aim of the Society is to promote and encourage the historical study of the town of Tewkesbury and district.

The Society has a significant collection of Tewkesbury related information, known as the Woodard Database. It can be freely consulted at the Town Library and Members can also view this database on-line using a web-based facility known as Google Drive. Each year we publish a Bulletin of written articles relating to Tewkesbury, an index to the Bulletins is on this website. We have also published a number of themed books about Tewkesbury. All can be purchased at discounted rates for THS Members.

A programme of illustrated talks is held in the Methodist Church at The Cross, from September to May at 7.45pm on the third Thursday of the month, entry for THS Members is at a discounted rate.

Outings to places of historical interest are also arranged from time to time.
