Napoleonic Wars

These long years of warfare have attracted the attention of THS researchers for two reasons:
  1. The impact of the Revolution on the poorer people in Tewkesbury – when the women took a leading role
  2. The role of Tewkesbury men who fought with the Navy, notably at Trafalgar and with the Army in the Peninsular War in Spain
