1889: Indenture dated 30th August 1889 – by indenture of this date between:-

  1. Charles Dowswell of Tewkesbury hairdresser
  2. James Maysey of Gloucester, umbrella manufacturer

reciting Indenture of 1857 between:-

  1. Thomas Davis
  2. Thomas Weaver

said Thomas Davis in consideration of £150 paid by Thomas Weaver conveyed the Messuage to Thomas Weaver [to be repaid at 5%]

1864 – Thomas Weaver made Will dated 9th June appointing Benjamin Thomas moore sole executor

1864 - 22nd September Thomas Weaver died and Will proved on 20th October in Glos. Registry

1866 – Indenture dated 3rd March between:-

  1. Benjamin Thomas Moore
  2. Eliza Annie Moore

mortgage debt assigned to Eliza Annie Moore

1870 – Indenture dated 31st January between:-

  1. Eliza Annie Moore
  2. Charles Dowswell

wherein mortgage debt of £150 + interest was assigned to Charles Dowswell and reciting that Charles Dowswell had contracted with James Maysey for sale of Messuage in fee simple for £315 -

ALL THAT MESSUAGE, Dwelling House and Shop with outbuildings and piece of land adjoining and belonging to the site in High Street on South East Side formerly in possession of Thomas Davis and then and for many years past of said Charles Dowswell – bounded: on North East by Messuages or Dwelling Houses then late the property or in the occupation of Joseph Smith but then belonging to Charles Denley and in occupation of Charles Crockett.

On South West by Messuage or Dwelling House formerly in occupation of John Pennell and then belonging to Dr J.H. Allard in occupation of William Bayliss

On the South East by Messuage, Coal Yard and premises formerly in occupation of James Paling and then of William Henry King
