Indenture dated 1st January 1820 made between:-

  1. John Pritchard of Tewkesbury hosier [devisee of premises under the Will of Richard Heath late of Tewkesbury cordwainer deceased]
  2. John Ancill of Tewkesbury gent
  3. John Winning esq of Charlton Kings and Kitty his wife and Harry Rooke of Prestbury esq – [which Kitty now wife of John Winning was the widow and joint executor with said Harry Rooke of last Will and Testament of Samuel Harward late of Cheltenham bookseller and stationer – her late husband deceased]
  4. Bartholomew Sweet of Tewkesbury innkeeper

WHEREAS John Pritchard having occasion for £150 requested John Ancill to advance him same on security of the Messuage hereinafter mentioned:-

Messuage situated in High Street on North Side formerly in occupation of William Gardener stonemason since of Richard Heath deceased but now in possession of John Pritchard  - 

having Messuage belonging to Mrs Cooper in occupation of John Frost one side 

and Messuage belonging to Thomas Holland esq in occupation of Richard Walters on other

[further advance of £34 was given on 2nd January 1826]

NOW THIS INDENTURE WITNESSETH that to further secure Messuage to John Ancill – Kitty Winning and Harry Rooke set over the remainder of the term of 1000 years to Bartholomew Sweet
