Document:

This is the last Will and Testament of me William Heath of Tewkesbury cordwainer which I do make and publish and declare in manner and following (that is to say)

I give devise and bequeath unto my dear wife Mary – ALL THAT MY MESSUAGE or Tenement with the appurtenances situate and being in the Tolsey Lane in Tewkesbury – to hold to my said wife her heirs and assigns forever

Also I give devise and bequeath unto my dear wife – ALL THAT MY MESSUAGE garden and premises with the appurtenances situate and being in the High Street in Tewkesbury and now in the occupation of William Gardner – to hold to her and her assigns for and during the term of her natural life and from and after her decease 

I give devise and bequeath the same premises unto the use of my brother Richard Heath his heirs and assigns forever

Also I give devise and bequeath unto my said wife the sum of £50 to be paid by my executor hereinafter named as soon as convenient may be after my decease

Also I give devise and bequeath to my said wife such Household Goods and Chattels as were her property before my marriage with her 

And as for and concerning the residue of my Goods and Chattels, Stock in Trade, Debts, Monies, Securities for Money, and other my personal estate – I give devise and bequeath the same unto my good friends John Barnes of Tewkesbury gent and John Dick of Tewkesbury mercer – To hold to them and their executors, administrators and assigns upon the Trusts following – that is to say –

That they or the survivor of them with all convenient speed after my decease collect and get in such debts and money as shall be then due and owing to me and sell and dispose of the residue of my said Household Goods etc for the most money that can be procured and after payment thereout of such debts as then may be owing from my estate and all costs and charges incidental to such sale and UPON TRUST to place the overplus thereout at interest upon good security and pay the interest thereof to my said wife for her life and from and immediately after her decease then Upon Trust to call in the Principal Money and pay the same to my said brother Richard Heath his executors and assigns to whom I hereby give and bequeath the same accordingly
